Illustrated Memories from Asia – Through Maps, Food & Travel Moments

A collection inspired by temples, traffic, street food and stillness.
Back in 2016, we travelled through parts of Asia for the first time — and it was everything all at once. Busy, peaceful, loud, colourful, confusing and incredible. It’s the kind of trip that sticks with you, and over time, little moments from it have made their way into our prints.
Our Asia collection is shaped by those memories – from city skylines and mountain temples to food we still talk about now.
From Vietnam to Hong Kong – chaos, calm and everything in between
In Vietnam, the buzz of mopeds, markets and steaming food stalls hit us straight away. It took us a day or two to settle into the rhythm, but once we did, we were hooked. Hoi An’s old town was beautiful – yellow buildings, lanterns everywhere, and great food on every corner. One day we cycled out to the beach and found ourselves completely alone on a stretch of sand – no one else in sight.
There was also pho. So much pho. Our Pho print captures that memory for us – an early morning street corner, plastic stools, and a bowl of something warm and comforting.
Hong Kong was the opposite in many ways. Fast, vertical, neon, but with moments of calm too. We rode the Peak Tram, took ferries across the harbour, and spent evenings eating dim sum with friends. Our Hong Kong print brings together all those little landmarks and layers. And our Dim Sum print is a reminder of one of the best meals we had – small plates, big flavours.
Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines – city breaks and island days
In Singapore, everything felt precise and modern – a completely different energy. We wandered through Gardens by the Bay and watched the city light up at night. It was one of those places that surprised us – futuristic but still full of warmth.

Malaysia gave us a mix of big city life and culture, especially in Kuala Lumpur. We visited the Petronas Towers, explored temples, and ate street food late into the night. The food there really stood out – rich, spicy, and full of depth.

The Philippines felt like a shift again – quieter, simpler. We slowed down in Palawan and spent days in and around the water. No Wi-Fi, no rush. Just boat trips, snorkelling, and reading under a palm tree. One of those rare times when you really feel like you’ve stepped out of your usual life.
Thailand – temples, elephants and mango sticky rice
Thailand was a mix of cities and slower moments. Bangkok was wild – traffic, night markets, mango sticky rice from Mango Tango. But Chiang Mai was a welcome pause. We rode up to Doi Suthep, explored the Old Town on foot, and spent time at the Elephant Nature Park – something we’d always wanted to do. It felt good to slow down a bit.

Food, memories and illustrated prints
Food was a huge part of the trip – sometimes the highlight of a whole day. We’ve brought a few of those dishes into their own prints, like our Sushi scene. Inspired by meals in Japan that were almost too pretty to eat.
We often say our prints are about more than just places – they’re about memories. Maybe you’ve had a trip like that too. One where a temple, a beach, or a bowl of noodles just stuck with you. That’s what we’re trying to capture with this collection – small things that meant a lot.
